The workshop
The International Theatre Workshop Summer 2010 is part of ITL’s Research Program for exploring methods to the actor’s training as practised by a variety of world theatre traditions. At the current stage, the focus is on Bulgaria. The structure and content of each instructor’s workshop reflects hers/his answer to the question: "What is your take on training methodology which you consider optimal in preparing the actor for the challenges of today's theatre?"
Over the span of two weeks, participants will be enrolled in an intensive program of three separate workshops, exploring a variety of aspects central to acting training at a master level. All workshops will be conducted in English and will offer hands-on exercises to build understanding, expertise and community. The program will also include shorter or longer evening sessions dedicated to discussion, debriefing and entertainment.
Participants are encouraged to share their creative work with the group and get feedback, if desired. We also encourage the participation of actors who wish to be considered for our forthcoming physical theatre production with an international cast. The workshop is an excellent opportunity for us to get acquainted with individual actors’ skills and observe their interaction in order to assess suitability for an ensemble project.
Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding the workshop, and we will be happy to help.
The International Theatre Workshop offers a truly unique combination of professional training with a wonderful holiday adventure.
It is an opportunity not to be missed, so book now - numbers are limited!
